Education & Training

Dr. Duane Austin MD is an Experienced Eye Surgeon and Ophthalmology Specialist.  Austin set the foundation for his career in Ophthalmology with the pursuit of his Medical Degree (MD) from New York Medical College.  After receiving his MD designation, Dr. Austin continued on to complete his Clinical Experience & Training at SUNY-Nassau County Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital, where he maintained an Internship.  These formative experiences introduced Dr. Austin to his area of specialty in a hands-on, clinical setting.  Decades later, the Experienced Eye Surgeon and Certified Vision Care Specialist has solidified his expertise and specialty in Ophthalmology.  Striving to keep pace with this area of medicine, Dr. Austin is actively engaged in research and practice within the Ophthalmology medical community.  The Vision Care Specialist is passionate about keeping up with the latest advancements in Ophthalmology, so that he can always provide the best care, from diagnosis to treatment of Ocular Diseases.
